"GEROBAG JEPANG" or Japanese Cart. Unexpected and unannounced, there was a driver in Yogyakarta who still use this term (31/05). Referring to "gerobak" (cart; a transportation apparatus) and "Japan" (the country from which Suzuki was exported), the term was popular in the 80's to dub a pick up truck with 2-stroke engine. There also was another term invented for the object, which was "Suzuki Tronthong" (imperceptible in the photograph, but it was written on a sticker sticked to the below right corner of the pick up), referring to the thong-thong-thong sound the car makes, typical feature of 2-stroke engines. Playing 'the caring parents', the management felt the need to list an additional criteria for its prospective 'children' tenant they desire: proper female. Nugroho Budianggoro | June 2o1o
